Hi, friends. It’s been a heck of a week. I had a nasty cold for a few days, which I’ve very generously given to my wife now. I’m about 90% better, but I lost a bit of time there.
It was All Saints Sunday and also our 50th Anniversary Banquet at my church today, both of which were good, really good, yet emotionally exhausting.
And I’ve been a little up and down emotionally lately. Nothing really bad, just some run-of-the-mill questions about the meaning of life. Plus I’ve been listening to The Cure a lot while driving in these dreary early November days, which always feels like a darkly-pleasant melancholy blanket…the really attractive side of mild depression.
All this said, I am giving myself the week off from Biblia Luna. This is self-care, something I’m not always good at. But God wants us to take care of ourselves. If you too need some self-care now, I pray that you have the courage to let yourself do it. You need it, and God wants that for you.
See you next week.
Enjoy your time! So appreciate you, your friendship, and your writing, especially now at this time in my life.
Be well!
